NEW: TEEN MINYAN

To prepare our teenage boys (grades 7-12) to fully participate in Shabbos Minyanim, we will begin a Shabbos morning “Teen Minyan” on Parshas Vayechi, January 14, 2017.

This special Minyan will meet monthly (2nd or 3rd shabbos each Hebrew month) and offer our teenage boys an opportunity to lead and oversee the smooth running of the Minyan, Lein from the Torah, recite the Haftorah, give a Dvar Torah, Daven Musaf from the Amud, create a meaningful Tefillah experience, and ensure proper decorum amongst themselves. It will also offer our teens the opportunity to work together, building a sense of community and achdus.
How the Minyan will work:

  • Shacharis will be with the main Minyan, which begins at 9:00 AM.
  • When the main minyan reaches the point to take out the Sifrei Torah for Leining, the teenage boys will exit the main Shul and go the Bais Medrash at which point they will remove the Torah from the Aron, Lein, give a Dvar Torah, Daven Mussaf, and complete the remainder of the Davening.
  • A Kiddush will follow the Minyan for the teenage boys.
  • This Minyan is only for teenage boys and those overseeing the Minyan. Other adults will not be permitted to participate.

This Minyan will be led by Rabbi Rothberger, Ezra Nissel and Dr. Scott Goldberg, under the guidance of Rabbi Glasser.

We encourage all teenage boys in the shul to take part in this tremendous opportunity. If your son would like to participate, either as an attendee, or by leading various aspects of the Minyan, please submit your information by clicking the following link:
